What is an Inspirationalist? Well, technically, it’s a made up title I have given those who have, against all odds, devoted their life to their passion. I have asked Katie a series of questions to understand the view into her journey.

Who is Katie?
Katie Uhran is the owner of She Rocks Fitness. She graduated from the College of William and Mary, with a Bachelor of Science and Major in Kinesiology, where she was also was a Division I Field Hockey Player. Katie is a certified NASM trainer; TRX Suspension Trainer, and also certified Yoga Instructor. She is a runner, yogi, cyclist, and lover of healthy food, wine, cupcakes, dogs, and currently reside in Houston, TX. She Rocks Fitness specializes in at-home training, boot camps, and on-line training. She Rocks Fitness is also a blog that provides workouts, healthy recipes, product reviews, inspiration, and a glimpse into her personal journey. She Rocks Fitness believes that living a healthy and active lifestyle should be fun and never means giving up the things you love. It is about moderation and balance. Strong Is Beautiful!

I am training for a half marathon on Nantucket island in less than 4 weeks. It was a spur of the moment decision, but I was craving a project that would give me a schedule to follow and an excuse to travel. I love to run, because I love the way it makes me feel both mentally and physically and right now my body has been craving it, so this half marathon was perfect timing.
What do you associate the colour red with?
Boldness and Fearlessness.
How do you describe what you do to your family?
How do you start and end your day?
I always start with a cup of coffee, take Lucy [her adorable pup] out, work on my computer and breakfast.
